Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long does it take to develop conflict mastery?​
    There are layers of learning. While you can complete the Blue Belt coursework in a month, I encourage you to stay engaged longer. Learning and applying the concepts opens new areas to learn. Also, new questions and applications arise as the world changes. There is no end to the study (as a spiral doesn't end!)! Mastery is not about perfection. The true master tries and fails and tries again and again. (This is George Leonard’s definition of mastery.
  • ​​What is a Blue Belt Certificate?​
    You are welcome to take this course and participate. To receive your Blue Belt Certificate, complete the 11 worksheet reflections (PDF fillable) and send them to us. At this point, Karen will debrief with you. The Certificate means you’ve studied and applied material with a first-level understanding.
  • ​What’s next after the Blue Belt Certificate?​
    The next level is in-person training to achieve a Purple Belt Certificate. Learning has layers that take time and practice. While we can accomplish a lot virtually, there is no replacement for in-person communication and training. You will receive notice when these events are available. In-person sponsorship is also available privately for organizations.
  • ​What if I miss a live coaching session? How will I know how to connect? ​
    These will be recorded and posted in the community via Zoom. You will receive an email with the link invitation, and I will also post it in the community.What is the community?
  • ​What is the community?
    The community is a private online forum where you can ask questions and share. I am committed to checking in and commenting within 36 hours.
